Many people are curious as to what units you use for attacking for different scenarios...

I am still not a pro at attacking, but I know the basics. Feel free to add to this, we need to give our alliance the best we can.

For taking out traps-
Warriors are by far the best, they are disposable (very easy to rebuild) and basically fall into every possible trap as they are not very smart Very Happy **Note: War machines (transporters, ballistae, battering rams, catapaults) are not affected by traps**

For taking out Archer Towers-
Archers, and Ballistae are the preferred units by most, they have a long range, and can outshoot archer towers eventually. This will give them a few rounds before the rest of the battle starts to do alot of damage. Archers are much faster at moving though, so I would suggest you use archers if you want to get the defenses out of the way fast. If there are not many archer towers, and you dont want to waste archers, Warriors will get the job done easily enough.

For taking out Abatis-
Cavalry are definately the better of the 2 horse units especially for taking out defenses. They are faster by a fair bit as well, so they are the best unit for spamming a city (taking loyalty down fast) Only horse units can take out abatis though, that is why I wait for the other defenses to be gone before I worry about the abatis, if you send your cavalry in the same wave as your main force, the archer towers will shoot at the cavalry first, they sometimes dont even make it to the abatis. But, this also makes them

For taking out Rolling Logs-
Definately warriors are the best for this, the logs only get to have one attack before they need to be rebuilt, therefore warriors are good against them because they are expendable.

For taking out Defensive Trebuchet-
Warriors are also great against these because they also only have one shot before they need to be rebuilt. Try not to let your war machines get hit by them, if you can avoid it, it is worth it.

Now, what unit is good against what unit...

Archers and ballistae are basically the attack all, end all unit, they take out everything...I only use the other units for either spamming, or as fresh meat (a pincushion dummy)

BEFORE EVERY ATTACK YOU MUST! SCOUT, IF NOT YOU WILL BE DOING A BLIND ATTACK AND WILL HAVE NO IDEA OF THE OUTCOME, ITS A 50/50 CHANCE THAT YOU WILL WIN. YOU CAN SAVE MANY UNITS BY SCOUTING FIRST BEFORE EVERY ATTACK
